French Riviera monument : Musee Renoir in Cagnes-sur-mer

The Domaine des Collettes, and its park enhanced by the olive-trees so beloved by the artist, was the last home of Auguste Renoir. Preserved as is with its original furniture and decoration, the house also features : the painters' 2 studios, 11 original paintings from the nacre and Cagnes periods, virtually all his sculpture, some preparatory sketches, lithographs, many old photographs, personal possessions, etc.
