Sospel

FORT SAINT-ROCH
Built between 1930 and 1934, it was designed so that 240 soldiers could live there in wartime as if in a submarine, without seeing daylight for a full three months. Its four blocks descend as far as 28 metres underground. Musée de la Résistance.
