French Riviera monument : Chapelle Du Rosaire - Chapelle Matisse in Vence

Matisse decorated this chapel to thank the Dominican nuns who had taken care of him during his long stay in Vence. The Arbre de vie stained-glass windows, the ceramic decors using brush and ink, and the Stations of Cross offer a concentrated synthesis of Matisse'art, the final accomplishment of a lifetime devoted to work.
