The Olive Tree International School has been developed as a direct and personal response to the difficulty faced by a number of students in International education here in the South of France. Its aims and objectives are:

It is a small specialised school integrating the very best in experiential and brain based learning to meet the educational needs of dyslexic students. A Critical Skills Programme School. Modified British National Curriculum.

The school is located in Quinson in the heart of the Verdon Regional Natural Park just over an hour and a half from Nice.

Places are available on a boarding basis for children aged 11 to 16 years, with a weekly bus service transporting students from the Côte d'Azur, leaving on a Monday morning and returning them on Friday afternoons.

Description
A private kindergarten and primary school for children from 3 to 11 years olds, open on week days from 7.30am to 6.30pm. The school is situated in a leafy 2000m2 garden. It has 9 class rooms and 4 different play areas, each adapted to a different age group. The school meals are home made and cooked on site.
The curriculum follows that of the National Education and also includes English lessons (24 mins/day for the kindergarten children and 1hr/day from the others, taught by English lesson teachers), IT lessons, sport, sailing lessons, music, art and craft, poems, chess, performances and outings.

Description
This Montessori private school teaches children from 2 to 15 years taking them through kindergarten, primary and secondary school. The establishment is a member of the Montessori French group approved by the National Education.

Education at the Pouces Verts is devised into 5 units, each one corresponding to a precise periods in the development of a child: 2-3 yrs, 3-6 yrs, 6-9 yrs, 9-12yrs and 12-15 yrs.

The English language is an important part of the general ambiance of the school thanks to the English speaking children who attend. It is spoken and taught from the age of 2 years by a native English speaker.

Description
It proposes work and an individualised pedagogy which follows the rhythm and personality of each child, following the Montessori teaching methods. While learning at his or her own rhythm, the child integrates a great quantity of information with intelligence and precision. An American teacher gives 3, 1 ½ lessons a week and all of the French staff also speak English, which helps when pupils do not speak French. Accepts children aged 2 to 6 years. An on site holiday club is also organised during school holidays.
