A celebration of taste. The annual Savour Week is a celebration of flavour, good food and nutrition, something the French take very seriously. Additionally, the event has the standing to provide producers with a label of quality. Numerous events will be organized all over France throughout the week. For the past sixteen years, the Semaine du Goût has been focused on ensuring children have a varied, balanced diet by organizing a number of workshops, taste lessons and other educational events in schools. As an global icon in the world of gastronomy, France has a responsability to set the standard. Thus, a number of parallel activities and events are scheduled throughout the country: Savour Lessons (temporary markets, activities, degustations); Savour Week Restaurants (with special menus and dishes for the occasion); and Savour Talents (competitions rewarding the best professionals in the business). The world of food will be in the spotlight for 7 savoury days.
