Pulcinella's Circus Created in September 2004, Pulcinella is composed of active and repeat musicians of the Toulouse area (Les Biodégradés, Le Cri du Caillou, Jam Session Bandia). The group took off rapidly after assuring opening performances for acts like Akosh S. and Julien Lourau, as well as inauguring the Jazz à Luz festival. Pulcinella is a quartet, but see themselves more as an orchestra. Originally, the band members performed for a circus, but victims of the times, they soon found themselves with a big top. They decided to continue playing anyway, whether or not in the company of bears, clown and 3 big rings. From the commedia dell'arte napolitaine, the group's name is pronounced Polichinelle in French, Petrouchka in Russia and Punch in English... The quartet loves to travel (even in their imagination), speaks several languages, and doesn't mind if one mispronounces their name. As a matter of fact, they love to reinvent themselves, preferring not to remain a fixed form.
