Artist and audience come together. This event began in 1948, six decades ago, making it the first ever jazz festival in the world. After changing its name a number of times, it was finally christened the Nice Jazz Festival in 1994, offering jazz lovers and musicians 3 simultaneous open-air stages with new acts every hour. This year, Nice will be celebrating 60 years of quality jazz. This 2008 edition promises a rich variety of jazz styles. Great names such as Stacey Kent, Rufus Wainwright, Pink Martini, Joan Baez and even Leonard Cohen, among others, will be there to give you the best possible musical experience.
